U.K. Revisited

Legendary keyboard/violin virtuoso Eddie Jobson co-founded the short lived but successful supergroup U.K. at 22 years of age. Their two studio albums U.K. (1978) and Danger Money (1979) made a huge impression on the progressive rock scene, and still stands as must-have-albums for fans of the genre. The music is caractherized by the incredibly high musicianship, jazzy influences, vocal harmonies, strong melodies, progressive time signatures, complemented by Eddie’s varied pallet of synth sounds and neck-breaking solos on electric violin or keyboards.Eddie has a thorough career as the first violinist inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of fame and as a member of Roxy Music, Jethro Tull, Frank Zappa’s band, Curved Air and Yes. He has tried to retire for a while, but 50 years after U.K. was founded, he simply couldn’t resist the opportunity to give Swedish fans a chance to witness U.K. live for the first time since 1979.U.K. Revisited also consists of the super gifted fusion guitarist Alex Machacek (Brand X, Virgil Donati, Terry Bozzio, Chad Wackerman) who is the best imaginable replacement for deceased U.K. member Allan Holdsworth, madly talented and entertaining Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Steven Wilson, Mike Keneally, Joe Satriani) on drums, and not least the monter musician Marc Bonilla (Keith Emerson, Asia, David Coverdale) on bass and vocals to take on John Wetton’s role.Support act is Chris Jobson. As you might guess, it’s the son of Eddie, who has inherited the musical talent.
